Some exciting news in the Whole Wheat Treats world - We are planning on filming our first short film in over a year! Although I really wouldn't call it a short.. more like a 'medium."

Black Coffee

So in recent months, being the mega-badass that he is, Sean Carter has made legitimate progress towards the actualization of his lifelong (and my... couple-years-long) dream - to write and direct his own independent feature length film! His original script, partially based on a true story, is titled "Black Coffee."

Project - Barzhini Commercials

Three or four weeks ago Sean and I started working with a local marketing company, called Barzhini! Marketing Ventures. Owned by Tonya Hall, Barzhini does mostly social media advertising, such as through Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, LinkedIn, etc. Tonya was interested in commissioning us and bringing us on as part of the Barzhini team. But, before we started working with her clients, some of which are very recognizable brands such as Kodak, Disney, and McDonald's, we had to prove ourselves. This is totally reasonable, of course, because Sean and I are so young. People would be crazy not to question us. So - we decided to sign on for a project; to film a series of advertisements for Barzhini itself.

Making Things Personal

We love our filming equipment, every piece of it. Without it we are nothing, and we realize this. We treat our equipment like we would our own kids. We care for it, clean it, guard it, spend money on it, even name it. Following is a list of all of the equipment we use, its accompanying name, and the reason for that name.

Archives - The History of Whole Wheat Treats Productions

Sean Carter first approached me about collaborating with him on a film the summer before my freshman year of high school. He had written an original script, titled "Beige Behavior." It was a script that was far too mature to be portrayed by a bunch of 14 year old kids, but that didn't stop us from trying. The one scene I was able to film with him that summer before the project was cancelled was scene #18. It involved me getting a tip from a friend that a hitman was waiting for me somewhere inside my house. I grabbed a metal pole from the garage, and stalked through every room in the house. The scene culminated with me surprising him in the bedroom, and beating him to death with the pole.
